New Skyfire 0.9 beta for Symbian

Skyfire 0.9All fans of web browning using E71 can now check new beta of Skyfire browser. New version 0.9 is available for both Symbian S60 and Windows Mobile operating systems. What has changed since 0.8.something? New Skyfire’s home page allows linking to you Facebook and Twitter accounts, plus feeds from some popular news services.

S60 users, including E71 of course, also can gain from general improvements mentioned in the release notes. According to Skyfire team these changes include: reduced program size to about 750k by removing dependencies, some bug fixes, Skyfire disconnect more reliably when the application is in the background to further preserve battery life.

Moreover Skyfire is now available for N80 users, and N95 owners can use it in landscape mode. To install, or update a previous version go to get.skyfire.com from your mobile.

    It seems more stable but I’m not sure where the compression server operates from..UK or Aus?? I can’t watch US or Canadian TV network websites like before so I will hang on to the original beta version.
