[Updated] Nokia E63 – officially released!

Nokia E63 in Ruby RedNo more rumors about better or cheaper successors of Nokia E71. Today Nokia announced new device called Nokia E63 which will be available in sexy red and blue. E63 is looks similar to E71 but indeed is little thicker and plastic made. What’s missing is the GPS module and the only change which is really good step is standard 3.5 audio mini jack. Check the specification of Nokia E63 and share your opinion?

Interesting short review of E63 – the E71’s younger brother in blue and sister in red can be found at dial-a-phone blog. Looks like the market release date of E63 is close.

Very cheap alternative to E71, missing video-call camera, HSDPA and GPS. IMO, that’s excellent entry-level QWERTY device, perfect for pay-as-you-go offers.

This phone should have been offered in black… if it was, I think it would sell a LOT better.

Seems a bit like one of the Palm smartphones, and maybe targetting a the teen market. Users of E71 have complained that the autofocus is as good as useless, i also noticed that as taking pics with text even in macro mode was blurry most of the time. However if this phone has the 2mpix camera with no proper autofocus then i am sure users will get frustrated over this phones capabilities and opt for other QWERTY phones in the long term.
