One of blog readers asked me about a tool for geotagging of pictures taken with Nokia E71. After a short discussion about locr which I have described some time ago (please a post in here) it seems that this is not the best tool, especially if you want to export pictures to online photo services, like flickr.com. What should you use then? Nokia Location Tagger.
This application published a few months ago and tested publicly as a part of Nokia Beta Labs is no longer under development, but the final version is still available. Newer Nokia N-series devices have this application by default as build-in software component.
Now let’s focus on NLT for E71. Simply install it and after quick set up start it before taking pictures. The application can work hidden in a background. You can choose in its settings features like: auto start, or renaming picture name if the photo has a location added. Information about a place where the picture has been taken can be exported to flickr or any other page.
